I left the RAF as a Warrant Officer in February 1991, following postings at Waddington (62-65), Brampton (69-71), Marham (74-80), Ely (80-82)and Bawdsey (84-91). I had two overseas tours at RAF Rheindahlen, Germany (65-68 and 71-74), and one Loan Service tour in the Sultanate of Oman (82-84). I am now retired following 7 years of self-employment on secretarial work (CVs, word processing, business accounts). I am married with two sons aged 17 and 11. Our best man at the wedding in Fakenham, Norfolk on 7th November 1970 was a certain Derek (D W) Glasspoole, a fellow 41st Admin Apprentice. I regret to say that I have even lost touch with him now, although I did understand that he was the last serving member of the 41st Clerk Secretarials. This is posted as a result of Max Brade's 'phone call of 23rd November. It was a real pleasure to chat and relive old times! |
